the RM
teaching & training approach
Our
copyrighted RM special training approach consists of
the following elements:
1)
Big picture approach with a focus on
strategies
Our
training ensures our students do gain a firm
understanding of the big research picture,
and become capable of fitting learned
techniques into a large research plan.
2)
Hands-on approach
We
always require our students to work with
some datasets and apply the learned
techniques to process these datasets. Our
instructors provide a hands-on assistance on
processing datasets for a research.
3)
Stepwise approach
We
often divide a method into several steps so
that our students can start from simple and
move up easily step by step.
4)
Web-based approach
Today,
no one can conduct research without using
the Internet. Through our training, we use a
lot of web resource to enrich our content
and to enrich students' data analysis experience.
5)
RM4Es approach
The
RM4Es - equation, explanation, estimation and
errors - is a framework helpful for our
students to organize knowledge and conduct
assessments.
6)
Practical approach
We
always combine our teaching with a subject
our students are studying, in order to
ensure what they are learning is not just
some mathematics, but some practical tools
useful for their future research and
decision-making.
7)
User-friend approach
We
always teach statistics together with a
statistical software packages like SPSS or
S-plus. We provide an easy way for our
students to learn about clicking on a
statistical software to produce quick
results.
All
the above seven approaches enable our
students to learn statistics and research
methods in a fun and easy way. All our
students find statistics useful and
powerful, and finally become capable of
using statistics as a tool for their
research and decision making.
