Many
view the Chinese internet bulletin boards as a proxy barometer of
public opinion in China. In one way or another, the Chinese
Internet has been used as a powerful tool for China studies already.
Under this project, we aims to further develop methods of using the
Chinese Internet to conduct China research.
Methods,
tools and related services will be provided to the China research
communities on using the Chinese Internet.
A
China Internet Barometer system is being developed
with a system of indicators together with timely datasets that will
soon be available to aid the China research communities.
We
