Question 2:

Dear Alex:

I’ve been asked to calculate the F-statistic to compare the difference across means.  Can you give me a quick explanation of how to do this?  I looked it up in a book and I can’t find F-stats.  Maybe they’re called something else?  I also found an FTEST in the Excel formulas, but it seems that I can only compare an equal number of data points, and I need to compare different numbers.

Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated.  Thank you!
