Some Success Cases of Using the RM4Es and ResearchMap Frameworks
Case 1: risk analytics for an international bank
Business challenge: the bank was experiencing huge amount of loss, due to large number of loan defaults and slow managerial responses to them. The bank had a good data warehouse, but it only used industry risk models with low prediction accuracy and used tens of analysts doing manual work in searching for risky signs.
Our approach: 12 weeks of work of a RM team, resulted a RM4Es based system of using internal transaction data for risk analytics and one customized risk model of assigning a risk score to each loan customer.
Results: dramatically improved accuracy in predicting loan risk that leaded to (1) saved cost from using smaller number of analysts, (2) big loss reduction from fast response and intervention, (3) less risk from lending less to risky customers.
Case 2: customer analytics for a marketing research firm
Business challenge: The clients of this firm asked for complicated causal models of purchasing behavior and fast response. This firm hired inexperienced analysts who can not meet the demand on time.
Our approach: 4 months of work of a RM team, resulted a step-by-step RM4Es analytical process and a customized analytical system the firm’s junior analysts used to produce high quality complicated models in short time.
Results: More customers and more profits.
Case 3: performance analytics for an international agency
Business challenge: the agency gave out hundreds of millions in aid in Africa. The agency has collected huge amount of information, but was not using it rightly to measure performance well that the allocation of funds and performance had been criticized by donors.
Our approach: a RM team of 6 people worked in Africa for one month that had resulted a step by step RM4Es based performance measurement system for its Africa operation.
Results: more accurate performance measurement leading to better allocation of funds, better management and more donations.
